Elevate the Importance of ICT and Improve Coordination. Significant activity is underway in Afghanistan related to ICT. Some is being done by the Afghan government, some by private firms, some by the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), some by the US military and other parts of the US government (USG). NGOs and individuals are doing some of the most innovative work. But there is no mechanism to make decision-makers aware of all the activities, much less to try to coordinate appropriate parts.
